Over the past few decades, information and communication technologies (ICTs) have gained relevance and insertion in several areas, becoming essential for the development of several sectors. In the school context, it is no different, either as a technical tool or as a pedagogical instrument within the classrooms. Understanding the importance of technological advances for our society and, in particular, for contemporary education, in addition to the relevance of the use of new technologies in the world of work, this article aims to reflect on how Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) are being used creatively and innovatively to increase pedagogical practices that avoid traditional methods and contribute to the critical, reflective and autonomous development of students in the context of vocational education. To this end, it discusses innovative practices with the use of new technologies in the school context, and how institutions linked to vocational education deal with ICTs as an innovation in the process of pedagogical mediation to use them as a means of construction of knowledge and favoring the integral human formation.
