Application Carimba: a proposal for the qualification course in child development of the School of Public Health of Ceará

  The research chose the AVA of the Qualification course in Child Development promoted by the School of Public Health of Ceará (ESP-CE). The study wants to analyze whether the environment is suitable or inappropriate for the type of public, students and tutors. The research proposes, as a final product, the development of an offline application: the Carimba application, which allows training students to access the course content, without having to be connected to the Internet, given that the course is completely distance learning. and many students do not have access to the internet. The application is viable and proposes to assist the studies, raising the level of adhesion of the students, streamlining the process of transmission of content. The study is based on a qualitative approach and has as a methodological course, the use of bibliographic research, bringing theoretical references on Virtual Environments, Distance Education and the efficiency of applications, in addition to field research, where questionnaires will be applied to tutors and course participants. . The interviews and the observation report comprise the research instruments, applied in the Virtual Learning Environment. One of the perceived results, initially, is the fact that many students have difficulties in handling the course platform, as they do not have basic computer skills and much less easy access to the internet. The research considered as the biggest challenges of this work, the context of restricted access to the internet and the little knowledge in informatics. However, they were overcome due to the combination of three elements: accessible platform, active tutor and interested student.
