Project “Educar para Ficar”: legitimating affirmative actions in the Federal Education System

Resumo: This article focuses on a relevant aspect of the school universe – learning disorders, and the efforts undertaken by the Instituto Federal Fluminense, RJ, to promote the effective inclusion of those students into real learning contexts. Among the initiatives, the Project “Educar para Ficar”, focus of this work, not only provides treatment of structural, emotional / relational, and cognitive aspects, with excellent results, but also informs and involves educators in the institution regarding the need to identify, support and send students to specialized assistance.
