The Rainbow in the School: in the public recognition of the cultural diversities in inclusive school

Resumo: | Professionals of two schools, one in Portugal and the other in Brazil, were investigated regarding school inclusion and their considerations on multiple cultural indexes in their institutions. How do these cultural manifestations coexist in the schooling process? How are they manifested when confronted by the diverse public enrolled in their school, and how do they analyze this coexistence in school activities? How do they include the tangible sides of the plural cultural expressions in their in the learning? Based on the issues raised by those professionals, the article shows how concepts of multiculturalism, interculturality, and cultural diversity are reframed in the main policies and public actions both in Brazil and Portugal. From this analytical perspective, it proposes the observation of these policies and actions are interpreted by the two groups. The study expands the discussion those concepts to controversies raised by scientists in the education field regarding public intentions manifested by those that have ruled education in these two countries. |

The study expands the discussion those concepts to controversies raised by scientists in the education field regarding public intentions manifested by those that have ruled education in these two countries.Profesionales de dos escuelas, una portuguesa y otra brasileña, fueron puestos a prueba de la inclusión escolar en relación con sus consideraciones sobre la forma en que se expresan múltiples índices culturales en sus escuelas. ¿Cómo estas manifestaciones culturales cohabitan en el curso de la escolarización realizada en la escuela? ¿Qué evidencia presentan cuando enfrentados/as con públicos diversos matriculados en tu escuela? ¿Cómo examinan las convivencias entre algunos y otros en las actividades proporcionadas por la escuela? ¿Cómo incluyen en los aprendizajes los lados tangibles de las expresiones culturales en el plural? Mirando los cuestionamientos planteados por estos/as profesionales, el artículo muestra cómo los conceptos de multiculturalismo, interculturalidad y diversidad cultural son replanteados en las líneas maestras de políticas y acciones públicas en Brasil y Portugal. A partir de esta exploración analítica, el estudio propone observar cómo estas líneas son interpretadas en estas escuelas por los/las profesionales. Para finalmente extender el cuestionamiento de estos conceptos a las controversias levantadas por científicos de la educación que las suscitan a propósito de las intenciones públicas manifestadas por múltiples equipos que han gobernado la educación en estos dos países.Profissionais de duas escolas, uma portuguesa e outra brasileira, foram postos à prova da inclusão escolar a propósito das suas considerações sobre a maneira como se expressam índices culturais múltiplos nas suas escolas. Como é que essas manifestações culturais coabitam no decurso da escolarização levada a cabo na escola? Que indícios apresentam quando confrontados/as com públicos diversos matriculados na sua escola? Como examinam as convivências entre uns e outros nas atividades proporcionadas pela escola? Como incluem nas aprendizagens os lados tangíveis das expressões culturais no plural? Dando conta dos questionamentos levantados por estes/as profissionais, o artigo mostra como os conceitos de multiculturalismo, interculturalidade e diversidade cultural são ressignificados nas linhas mestres das políticas e ações públicas no Brasil e em Portugal. E a partir desta exploração analítica observar como estas linhas são interpretadas nestas escolas pelos/as profissionais.
