Qualif and digital games that support the teaching and learning of software quality

Resumo: This paper discusses the training of IT undergraduates and professionals to develop quality software which include skills and competences on software quality. Given that the software quality discipline involves extensive theoretical content, strategies to motivate and provide student learning, such as the use of digital games, are crucial. This paper aims at presenting the Qualif software and its comparison with 14 other digital games that support the teaching and learning of software quality. The games were identified using systematic literature mapping. The comparison was based on a tailored taxonomy for educational serious games. The results showed that Brazil is one of the main countries where research in the area of games to the discipline of software quality is carried out. In addition, the research evidenced namely genres, platforms, characteristics and assessment methods applied to the selected games.

Dado que la disciplina de calidad de software implica un amplio contenido teórico, es importante incluir estrategias para motivar y proporcionar el aprendizaje de los estudiantes, como el uso de juegos digitales. El propósito de este artículo es presentar el Qualif y compararlo con otros 14 juegos digitales que apoyan la enseñanza y el aprendizaje sobre la calidad de software, identificados a través del mapeo sistemático de literatura. La comparación de los juegos se basó en facetas adaptadas de la taxonomía para juegos serios. Los resultados mostraron que Brasil es uno de los principales países que realizan investigaciones en el área de juegos en el área de la disciplina de calidad de software. Además, la pesquisa evidenció los géneros, plataformas, características y métodos de evaluación de los juegos seleccionados.O problema abordado neste artigo refere-se à formação de graduandos e profissionais para atuar na produção de software, que contemple habilidades e competências sobre qualidade de software. Dado que a disciplina qualidade de software envolve extenso conteúdo teórico, é importante incluir estratégias para motivar e proporcionar a aprendizagem dos alunos, como o uso de jogos digitais. O objetivo deste artigo é apresentar o Qualif e compará-lo com outros 14 jogos digitais que apoiam o ensino-aprendizagem sobre qualidade de software, identificados através de mapeamento sistemático da literatura. A comparação dos jogos baseou-se em facetas adaptadas de uma taxonomia para serious games. Os resultados demonstraram que o Brasil é um dos principais países que realizam pesquisas na área.
