The modern emancipatory educational project and the enlightenment crisis

Resumo: | The modern emancipatory educational project, as a project of the enlightenment, was based especially on the concepts of rationality and subject formulated by the philosopher Immanuel Kant. From the 19th century, philosophers such as Nietzsche, Heidegger and Adorno question this emancipatory project by demonstrating their non-metaphysical fundamentals. The rationality, considered as enlightening in the modern age, is then interpreted as an instrument of controlling the reality towards technical-scientific interests. This criticism eliminates the totalitarian aims of the emancipatory educational modern project and invites us to review them. |
