Resumo: The present article promotes an analysis of the emotions in the face of the chromatic perception of the human being, having as object of study the automobile. To this end, in addition to the bibliographic survey, an evaluation of the user's emotional perception in relation to automobiles was carried out using the Geneva Emotion of Wheel (GEW) tool, collecting data from 20 people from two different groups. For this research, images of the Renegade car, from the Jeep brand were used, selected from a focus group, edited and organized in different colors. Based on the analysis of the results, the difference between the responses of Design students and students from other areas was notorious. In this context, students from the design course presented a greater variety in the perception of emotions, in contrast to the students from other courses, who marked fewer emotional options available in the GEW.

Para ello, además del levantamiento bibliográfico, se realizó una evaluación de la percepción emocional del usuario en relación a los automóviles a través de la herramienta Rueda de Emociones de Ginebra (GEW), se recolectaron datos de 20 personas de dos grupos diferentes. Para esta investigación se utilizaron imágenes del auto modelo Renegade, de la marca Jeep, seleccionadas de un grupo focal, editadas y organizadas en diferentes colores. Con base en el análisis de los resultados, fue evidente la diferencia entre las respuestas de los estudiantes de Diseño Gráfico y los estudiantes de otras áreas. En este contexto, los estudiantes del curso de diseño mostraron mayor variedad en la percepción de las emociones, en contraste con los estudiantes de otros cursos, que señalaron menos opciones emocionales dispuestas en el GEW.O presente artigo promove uma análise acerca das emoções frente à percepção cromática do ser humano, tendo como objeto de estudo o automóvel. Para tal fim, além do levantamento bibliográfico, foi feita uma avaliação da percepção emocional do usuário em relação a automóveis por meio da ferramenta Roda das Emoções de Genebra (GEW) coletados dados de 20 pessoas de dois diferentes grupos. Para essa pesquisa, foram utilizadas imagens do automóvel modelo Renegade, da marca Jeep, selecionado a partir de um grupo de foco, editadas e organizadas em diferentes cores. Com base na análise dos resultados, ficou notória a diferença entre as respostas dos estudantes de Design e dos estudantes de outras áreas.
