This work shows an action in Applied Mathematics discipline in class the first semester of the subsequent mid-level technical course in Restaurant and Bar Service (SRB) of the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Ceará, campus Camocim. The action was through practical classes and measuring instruments occurring in the classroom and in the kitchen of course located on campus. The idea was to explore contents of Quantities block measures and working with a more palpable and Mathematics dedicated to the practice of technical future, since these professionals working in areas whose technological axis is Hospitality and Leisure, have in their daily work situations They require some skills involving mathematical thinking. The action has generated greater interaction of students with discipline resulting in better performance in learning Applied Mathematics forward-SRB course.
