PEDAGOGICAL RESIDENCY PROGRAM AND TEACHING OF STATISTICS: AN EXPERIENCE WITH AN INTERDISCIPLINARY APPROACH THROUGH INFORMATICS IN THE REMOTE FORMAT

Resumo: | Due to the adversities faced by students to follow remote classes, there is a need for teachers to adopt strategies that seek to overcome these obstacles, especially in subjects that students have great difficulty with, such as statistics. The present study aims to report the experience of residents of the Degree in Informatics working in the discipline of statistics in an interdisciplinary approach in remote teaching. Synchronous and asynchronous meetings were held with practices of descriptive statistics and construction of tables and graphs through applications on the computer and cell phone. It was observed that the practices helped to deal with the limitations of the students and enabled everyone to participate and learn satisfactorily. The interdisciplinary and contextualized approach to the students' reality contributed to a more meaningful learning, reflected in the great approval of the didactic strategies by the students. It is also noteworthy that such experiences were positive for the residents themselves, who are more prepared to act as future educators. |

It is also noteworthy that such experiences were positive for the residents themselves, who are more prepared to act as future educators.Ante las adversidades que enfrentan los estudiantes para seguir clases a distancia, surge la necesidad de que los docentes adopten estrategias que busquen superar estos obstáculos, especialmente en materias que los estudiantes tienen mucha dificultad, como la estadística. El presente estudio tiene como objetivo relatar la experiencia de residentes de la Enseñanza en Informática trabajando en la disciplina de la estadística en una propuesta interdisciplinaria en la enseñanza a distancia. Se realizaron encuentros sincrónicos y asincrónicos con prácticas de estadística descriptiva y construcción de tablas y gráficas a través de aplicaciones en la computadora y celular. Se observó que las prácticas ayudaron a resolver las limitaciones de los estudiantes y permitieron que todos participaran y aprendieran satisfactoriamente. El abordaje interdisciplinario y contextualizado de la realidad de los estudiantes contribuyó a un aprendizaje más significativo, reflejado en la gran aprobación de las estrategias didácticas por parte de los estudiantes. También se destaca que tales experiencias fueron positivas para los propios residentes, quienes están más preparados para actuar como futuros educadores.Diante das adversidades enfrentadas por estudantes para acompanhar as aulas remotas, verifica-se a necessidade de docentes adotarem estratégias que busquem contornar esses entraves, sobretudo em disciplinas que os alunos apresentam grande dificuldade, como estatística. O presente estudo tem como objetivo relatar a experiência de residentes da Licenciatura em Informática atuando na disciplina de estatística numa proposta interdisciplinar no ensino remoto. Foram realizados encontros síncronos e assíncronos com práticas de estatística descritiva e construção de tabelas e gráficos por meio de aplicativos no computador e celular. Observou-se que as práticas auxiliaram a contornar as limitações dos alunos e possibilitaram que todos participassem e aprendessem satisfatoriamente. A abordagem interdisciplinar e contextualizada à realidade dos estudantes contribuiu para uma aprendizagem mais significativa, refletida na grande aprovação das estratégias didáticas pelos discentes.
