Resumo: Education must follow constant changes faced by society, seeking to motivate students to learn and to socialize. From this point of view, the project called "Valentine's Day: Value who does you good" was applied with students in a contextualized and interdisciplinary way, looking up motivation and reflection on interpersonal relations, as well as on unbridled consumerism. In order to do so, it aims to report the potentialities and learning developed through the mentioned teaching project. It is a research that associates the report of experience with the qualitative research, with the participant observation as an instrument of data collection. 300 students from the first, second and third years of Integrated High School (Agricultural Technician, Food and Informatics) from Instituto Federal Goiano - Campus Morrinhos were involved. The relationship between chemistry and language, through the preparation of texts in Portuguese, Spanish and English, posters and presentations was allowed by the project. In addition to allowing the beginning of overcoming alienation motivated by unbridled consumption, a reflection space and appreciation of the subject was provided to the students. Finally, the importance of the development of projects such as that cited to guarantee students' cognitive and emotional development is highlighted.
