The acquisition of knowledge is intrinsically related to learning styles, since each individual has their own profile, and it is essential to know them in order to seek strategies to improve performance and improve underdeveloped styles. This study aimed to analyze journals on the proposed theme in order to develop a new perspective, presenting its approach in the academic environment. In order to achieve the objective, this study had a bibliographic and exploratory research methodology, with a qualitative approach, verifying scientific articles in the main indexes of journals on the application of the Kolbian Theory and its importance in the educational environment. Therefore, the results achieved showed their contributions in the teaching and learning processes, demonstrating the need for educators to adopt strategies aimed at the four learning styles, highlighting them as a tool for self-knowledge from their identification and allowing the contact of students with various activities that will contribute to your knowledge.
