This article aims to identify and analyze representations and pedagogies regarding aging based on the film “The Amusement Park” (1975), by the American director George Andrew Romero. The theoretical anchorages are based on approaches from the field of Cultural Studies making use of the methodology of ethnography on screen, with inspirations in cultural analysis and critical visual methodology, it proposes, together with its main objective, to think about the pedagogical potential that cinematographic productions have , especially those of the horror genre, and how they make it possible to reflect on issues related to aging today. It is understood that, despite the production coming from the 1970s, representations and pedagogies produced from the horror that emanate from it contribute significantly to thinking about aging, whether thinking about the difficulties and problems experienced by the elderly, especially with regard to the multiple forms of violence to which they are subject, such as the dilemmas and responsibilities of younger people when faced with this issue.
