Resumo: | Abstract: Socio-scientific controversies are increasingly present in educational institutions, challenging the teacher, in continuing education, to articulate his knowledge in an interdisciplinary way. This article aims to recognize concepts of Science, Technology, Society and Environment (CTSA) meant by undergraduate students from different courses, in the Environment and Sustainability (MAS) discipline, and the evolution of the understanding of these concepts, over a semester in University education. The methodology used was the microgenetic approach, in the historical-cultural matrix, of episodes from a participant observation case study. As a result, we identified evidence of evolution in the students' conceptual understanding about the CTSA, environment, sustainability and ecology in relation to the expectations of professional training. Keywords: Sustainability. Professional development. Socio-scientific controversies. |

Socio-scientific controversies.
