Dialogues between Popular Education and Environmental Education: Pathways to Build a Popular Environmental Education

Resumo: | The writing that follows comes from a master's thesis and refers to the foundations that support the emergence of an Environmental Education with a Popular predicate. Thus, this study seeks to understand the foundations on which Popular Environmental Education is anchored, through the recognition of the similarities identified between two fields that converge: Environmental Education and Popular Education. Indeed, the question is: What epistemological contributions of Environmental Education and Popular Education, through their trajectories and concepts, for the emergence of Popular Environmental Education? In order to reach the question raised, the contribution of the theoretical-hermeneutic perspective is considered, using bibliographic and documental research techniques. Through gadamerian hermeneutics as a methodological stance, we seek to promote a fusion of comprehensive horizons, in order to delve into an interpretive universe of attribution of meanings in the face of the highlighted theme. Desse modo, este estudo busca compreender os fundamentos sobre os quais a Educação Ambiental Popular está ancorada, por meio do reconhecimento das aproximações identificadas entre dois campos que se convergem: Educação Ambiental e Educação Popular. Com efeito, questiona-se: Quais contribuições epistemológicas da Educação Ambiental e Educação Popular, por meio de suas trajetórias e conceitos, para a emergência da Educação Ambiental Popular? Para o alcance da questão lançada, considera-se a contribuição da perspectiva teórico-hermenêutica, utilizando técnicas de pesquisa bibliográfica e documental. Por meio da hermenêutica gadameriana enquanto uma postura metodológica, busca-se promover uma fusão de horizontes compreensivos, de modo a mergulhar em um universo interpretativo de atribuição de sentidos frente à temática destacada.
