Resumo: The present study aims to address and reflect on the difficulties encountered by Basic Education students who are people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD), from 2007 onwards it became part of the routine of educational centers in all municipalities, in particular, the resources made possible through Assistive Technologies (ATs), translated into an educational form to assist in the communication of people with interaction difficulties through conventional means of speech. Supporting educators, parents and students to assimilate the contents taught according to the school year in which the student is attending. The objective of the present investigation is to examine the effectiveness of ATs in the educational environment to mediate the interaction of the person with ASD aiming at multiple efforts to provide well-being and interaction with other students, teachers and other members of the educational and/or community environment that can occur as a result of friendships fostered in the school environment. The methodology will emphasize qualitative, descriptive and narrative research on current literature and standards. In the results, it is worth mentioning that national statistics on the number of people recognized with ASD are limited, having as a reference the data prepared and published by the agency of the US Department of Health and Human Services, made available in reports prepared by the Center of Diseases Control and Prevention ( CDC). However, it was verified that Inclusive Education, in the basic phase, is a reality in the national territory, always requiring improvements, having as evidence the ATs that already present several alternatives to assist the process of socialization of people with ASD, being able to facilitate the coexistence with the family, school and cultural community in which it is inserted.
