Resumo: | This study had the purpose to reflect about the importance of games and entertainment for Children Education. It was done to understand the kind of games and entertainments, their differences and similar goals. It also tried to answer how the games and entertainments must be part of the school routine not only as an additional resource or instrument, but also, as a pedagogical conception. It is about a bibliographical research in which many theories that mention the subject were checked. That way, it was observed that entertainment performed by means of game, entertainment and toys bring, as a result, the development of children in many aspects such as: cognitive, emotional, social, physical, and affective. The study also shows the necessity to change the idea that entertainment is only a pass time. On the other hand, games and entertainments in addition to being a leisureful activity, it consists of action of meanings and comprehensions in which the children have the opportunity to stablish themselves in the world and build knowledge and culture, and thus, making it possible, the social transformation. |

Buscou-se compreender a especificidade dos jogos e brincadeiras, como elementos fundamentais no desenvolvimento e aprendizado das crianças. Procurou-se ainda compreender como os jogos e brincadeiras devem fazer parte da rotina escolar não apenas como mais um recurso ou instrumento, mas, sim, como uma concepção pedagógica. Trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa de cunho bibliográfico na qual foram consultados diversos teóricos que abordam sobre o assunto. A reflexão sobre o tema é importante na medida em que possibilita compreender que o brincar e a brincadeira devem estar presente na vida das crianças para, principalmente, proporcionar o desenvolvimento da autonomia, ampliando o conhecimento cognitivo e social. Além de enriquecer o processo ensino-aprendizagem construindo assim, uma cultura lúdica na escola. Dessa maneira, observou-se que o lúdico proporcionado por meio do jogo, brincadeira e brinquedo promovem o desenvolvimento das crianças nos diversos aspectos como: cognitivo, emocional, social, físico e afetivo. O estudo ainda revela a necessidade de romper com a ideia de que o brincar seja simplesmente um passa tempo.
