Resumo: Depression among students is a frequent health problem for several reasons. Thus, this study aimed to identify the factors associated with depression in university students in the health area through an integrative review. This was an integrative review that consisted of collecting data on the LILACS and SciELO portals of publications investigated between 2015 and 2020, with 12 articles selected, which met the established criteria "associated factors", "depression", "students" "Health Sciences. The results showed that students in the health area are prone to depression due to socioeconomic status, lifestyle and academic overload. The conclusion was that the demands of the type of psychic disorders require greater attention and local therapeutic care from educational institutions, to improve student performance.

Así, este estudio tuvo como objetivo identificar los factores asociados a la depresión en estudiantes universitarios del área de la salud a través de una revisión integradora. Se trata de una revisión integradora que consistió en la recolección de datos en los portales LILACS y SciELO de publicaciones investigadas entre 2015 y 2020, con 12 artículos seleccionados, que cumplieron con los criterios establecidos "factores asociados", "depresión", "estudiantes" "Ciencias de la Salud". Los resultados mostraron que los estudiantes en el área de la salud son propensos a la depresión debido al estatus socioeconómico, el estilo de vida y la sobrecarga académica. La conclusión fue que las demandas del tipo de trastornos psíquicos requieren una mayor atención y atención terapéutica local por parte de las instituciones educativas, para mejorar el rendimiento de los estudiantes.A depressão no meio dos estudantes é um problema de saúde frequente por razões diversas. Assim, este trabalho teve como objetivo identificar os fatores associados à depressão em universitários da área da saúde através de uma revisão integrativa. Tratou-se de uma revisão integrativa que consistiu no levantamento de dados nos portais LILACS e SciELO de publicações investigadas entre anos de 2015 a 2020, sendo selecionados 12 artigos, que atenderam aos critérios estabelecidos “fatores associados”, " depressão", "estudantes" “ciências da saúde. Os resultados evidenciaram que os estudantes da área da saúde são propensos a depressão em decorrência de condição socioeconômica, estilo de vida e sobrecarga acadêmica.
