Resumo: | Resumo: O objetivo do presente estudo foi caracterizar e discutir as percepções e Representações sociais da turma 3 em relação a “Mestrado” e “Gestão Pública” com alunos recém-ingressos no Curso de Mestrado Profissional em Gestão Pública – MPGP da UFCA. Participaram 16 alunos-servidores da instituição, com idades variando entre 29 a 45 anos (Média= 35,94; Dp=4,234), sendo 8 do sexo feminino e 8 do sexo masculino. Os projetos foram dois de intervenção (12,5%) e quatorze de dissertação (87,5%), organizados em três categorias: Governança pública (37,5%); Assistência estudantil (31,25%) e Análise de situação (31,25%) . Sobre a percepção de Mestrado, duas categorias se sobressaíram: uma Positiva, com três subcategorias – Aprendizado 28 (62,2%); Crescimento 10 (22,2%) e Sentimento de Êxito 4 (8,9%). E uma Categoria Negativa com 3 palavras eliciadas (6,7%). A tabela 3 e a Figura 2 ilustram melhor tais representações sociais. Já a percepção de Gestão Pública fez emergir duas Categorias: Elementos da Gestão 41 (85,4%) e Aperfeiçoamento 7 (14,6%). Os motivos para cursar o mestrado foram mais de ordem Pessoais 21 (75%) e institucionais 6 (21,4%), além da Qualidade do Curso oferecido 1 (3,6%). Quanto as Expectativas sobre o curso, estas versaram sobre Maior Conhecimento 6 (28,6%); Melhoria da prática profissional 7 (33,3%); de Resultados positivos 7 (33,3%) e Maior esforço 1 (4,8%). Relativamente as Dificuldades percebidas pelos mestrandos, foram categorizadas como: Conciliar o tempo 14 (58,3 %); Exigências acadêmicas 7 (29,2%); Falar em Público 2 (8,3%) e um respondente não vê dificuldades (4,2%). Sobre os Benefícios visualizados, sobressaíram-se 2 categorias: Aperfeiçoamento pessoal 16 (51,6%) e Melhoria para a Instituição 15 (48,4%). O mestrado em Gestão Pública demonstrou ser de grande importância para os alunos e, por consequência para a Universidade. É possível que algum resultado referente a este estudo, possa conter certa limitação metodológica. Portanto deve ser considerado somente para a situação da turma 3 do MPGP-UFCA, não sendo apropriado sua generalização para outro contexto. Estudos sobre Mestrados Profissionais em Gestão Pública realizados em outras Instituições de Ensino Superior públicas, devem ser estimulados, para que possam ser utilizados como referências para comparação.Palavras-chave: Mestrado profissional; Desenvolvimento pessoal; Capacitação. Regarding the Master's perception, two categories stood out: one Positive, with three subcategories – Learning 28 (62.2%); Growth 10 (22.2%) and Feeling of Success 4 (8.9%). And a Negative Category with 3 elicited words (6.7%). Table 3 and Figure 2 better illustrate such social representations. The perception of Public Management led to the emergence of two Categories: Elements of Management 41 (85.4%) and Improvement 7 (14.6%). The reasons for taking the Master's were more Personal 21 (75%) and Institutional 6 (21.4%), in addition to the Quality of the Course offered 1 (3.6%). As for Expectations about the course, these were about Greater Knowledge 6 (28.6%); Improvement of professional practice 7 (33.3%); of Positive Results 7 (33.3%) and Greater Effort 1 (4.8%). Concerning the difficulties perceived by the master's students, they were categorized as: Reconciling time 14 (58.3%); Academic requirements 7 (29.2%); Public Speaking 2 (8.3%) and one respondent sees no difficulties (4.2%). Regarding the Benefits seen, 2 categories stood out: Personal Improvement 16 (51.6%) and Improvement for the Institution 15 (48.4%). The Master's in Public Management proved to be of great importance for the students and, consequently, for the University. It is possible that some result referring to this study may contain a certain methodological limitation. Therefore, it should be considered only for the situation of class 3 of the MPGP-UFCA, and its generalization to another context is not appropriate. Studies on Professional Masters in Public Management carried out in other public Higher Education Institutions should be encouraged, so that they can be used as references for comparison.Keywords: Professional Master's; Personal development; Empowerment. |
