The role of the school psychologist in distance learning education during the Covid-19 pandemic

Resumo: The Covid-19 pandemic had a significant impact on education, leading to the closure of schools and eventually the transition to distance learning. In this context, the role of the school psychologist has become essential to provide emotional and psychological support to students, teachers and the school community during remote learning. This article aims to investigate the role of school psychologists in distance learning education during the Covid-19 pandemic, addressing the challenges and intervention strategies used. Challenges include identifying the emotional demands of distance students, the feeling of isolation and adaptation. To overcome these problems, the school psychologist can use communication technologies to maintain contact with students, offering emotional support and promoting partnerships with teachers and families. In addition, it promotes mental health practices focused on preventing psychological disorders. This study highlights the importance of the school psychologist in distance learning education, highlighting the need for adequate investment and support to guarantee the well-being of students.

Nesse contexto, o papel do psicólogo escolar se tornou essencial para fornecer suporte emocional e psicológico aos estudantes, professores e a comunidade escolar durante o ensino remoto. Este artigo tem por objetivo investigar a atuação do psicólogo escolar na educação EAD durante a pandemia de Covid-19, abordando os desafios e as estratégias de intervenção utilizadas. Os desafios incluem a identificação das demandas emocionais dos estudantes à distância, o sentimento de isolamento e de adaptação. Para superar essas problemáticas, o psicólogo escolar pode utilizar as tecnologias de comunicação para manter o contato com os estudantes, oferecendo suporte emocional e promovendo parcerias com professores e as famílias. Além disso, promove práticas de saúde mental com foco na prevenção de transtornos psicológicos.
