Resumo: Objective: To describe comorbidities, pathophysiological findings, mortality and average length of stay in hospitals, as well as forms of treatment and nursing care. Method: an integrative literature review was carried out, extracted from the databases of the Virtual Health Library (VHL), PUBMED. The descriptors used were: “Acute kidney injury”, “Covid-19”, “Risk factors”, “Comorbidity”, “Renal dialysis'', “Nursing care'', “nursing diagnosis'' and “acute kidney disease”, between the period from 2020 to 2022, articles in the foreign language were also selected. Results: 70 articles were found in the VHL database, 62 articles in PUMED and 1 article in the SciELO, totaling 133 articles. 50 articles were obtained and analyzed in full and only 14 rigorously met the inclusion criteria. Conclusion: Patients who were admitted to the ICU had a worse outcome due to the invasive procedures performed during hospitalization, and also due to the critical condition of the disease. Nursing care for these patients is focused on monitoring the dialysis machine and the general condition of the patient, including constant monitoring of vital signs.

Nursing care for these patients is focused on monitoring the dialysis machine and the general condition of the patient, including constant monitoring of vital signs.
