Resumo: Objective: To describe the practices experienced by nurses working in BLH. Methodology: Integrative review, with search for articles in the Virtual Health Library (VHL), having as inclusion criteria publication between 2013 and 2019; Publication in full and in Portuguese. Results: Among the articles found were selected 10, distributed in two categories of analysis: practices experienced by the nurses of the BLH and causes of early weaning. Conclusion: The practices are usually focused on routines and bureaucratic procedures, when the humanization of care and the appreciation of public policies for exclusive breastfeeding should be prioritized. Thus, it is understood that the nursing team increasingly needs to undergo continuous training and application of scientific methodologies, developed with a critical spirit and autonomy. Early weaning is one of the most evident causes among Brazilian women, due to cultural factors, socio-economic and physiological. These difficulties lead mothers and their babies to the human milk Bank, where the nurse is responsible for the care, which should articulate the nursing care and process.
