SOCIAL CANVAS: TECHNOLOGY TO MODEL THE MISSION AND THE IMPACTS OF THE THIRD SECTOR

Resumo: | Use of Canvas models, such as Business Model Canvas, plays an important role in business organizations and startups. Social Canvas, as it is being elaborated and practiced abroad, is one way to present the model of an organization that impacts socially. There is also a literature of the Canvas model mainly about companies with social impact that does not cover all social impacts activities of organizations and all organizations engaged. The paper proposes to compare some models and appreciates social canvas analysis for third sector organizations organizational models. Are encountered some emerging initiatives, hybrid models and practices in Brazil that have to be supported with theoretical framework. This is a goal of the work. The results of the analysis were successfully applied in a civil society organization explaining clearly its mission and its activities with social impacts. The conclusion of the research is that the Social Canvas needs to use different typologies by social organizations that have different missions. |

O Canvas Social, como está sendo elaborado e praticado no exterior, é uma das maneiras de apresentar o modelo de uma organização que impacta socialmente. Existe também uma literatura do modelo Canvas principalmente sobre empresas com impacto social que não abrange todas as atividades propostas de valor social de organizações e todas as organizações engajadas. O trabalho propõe-se a comparar alguns modelos e propor a análise Canvas do modelo organizacional de organizações do terceiro setor. No Brasil estão surgindo iniciativas, modelos híbridos e práticas que precisam se amparar em um referencial teórico, e este é o objetivo do trabalho. Os resultados da análise foram aplicados com sucesso em uma organização da sociedade civil mostrando mais clareza em explicar sua missão e suas atividades com impactos sociais.
