DEVELOPMENT OF CARIES AND EROSION IN CHILDREN WITH ASTHMA

Resumo: Asthma is a very common disease among Brazilian children and comes every day gradually. Some authors point out as a disease favorable to the emergence of such problems and caries and erosions. The purpose of the work is to clarify and inform from published literature the development of each of the mentioned diseases and the existence of a connection between them, because the differences are not yet concrete information on the subject and only the prophylactic action are adopted. 2 The study was carried out from a year 2001 and 2016, which report the existence of some diseases associated to its use, using a scientific database (Scientific Electronic Library Online).

A asma é uma doença muito comum entre as crianças brasileiras e vem a cada dia aumentando gradativamente.1 Alguns autores indicam a asma como uma doença favorável para o surgimento de problemas dentários, como cáries e erosões. O intuito do trabalho é esclarecer e informar a partir das literaturas publicadas o desenvolver de cada uma das doenças citadas e a ligação existente entre elas, pois devido às várias opiniões ainda não se tem uma informação concreta sobre o assunto e apenas medidas profilácticas são adotadas.2 O estudo foi realizado a partir de artigos publicados no período de 2001 e 2016, que relatam de alguma forma as doenças citadas a cima e suas ligações, utilizando – se a base de dados scielo (Scientific Electronic Library Online).
