The monograph in question has as its main approach the possibility of creating an opportunity for an increase in the Brazilian Defense Industry Base, by improving the defense mentality of society and the Lebanese Armed Forces, inserting ideas related to specific fields of our Brazilian National Power (specifically the military), where its Navy would become aware of the importance of having the capacity to fulfill its basic tasks, such as surveillance and security provision in its territorial sea and the maintenance of sovereignty in its jurisdictional waters and relevant continental shelf. For this, we used a methodology based on bibliographic and documentary research, as well as interviews with the subject matter expert, in order to be based on solid theoretical references, compatible and coherent with the objective of the work. In addition, the author had the experience of acting in the region in question as Chief of Staff of the FTM during the period from February 2018 to February 2019. Priority was given to the study of the historical context necessary for the theme, and more attention was paid to the temporal window between the 1940s and the present day, showing the consequences of the internal and external conflicts in which Lebanon was involved. noted the meager defense mentality of the Navy (which has direct reporting to the Lebanese Army) and even of Lebanese society. Regarding FTM's performance, a description and analysis focused on what was of interest to the work was made, that is, to explain the relationship between the Navy / Lebanese society and the FTM, commanded by a Brazilian Admiral since 2011, having considerable acceptance both in society and in the Lebanese Navy. It also made a study of the capacity of the Brazilian BID, regarding the possibility of building naval means to be delivered to the Lebanese Navy, as well as verifying the possibility of the Brazilian Navy advising the Lebanese Navy regarding the correct qualification of its personnel to equip its naval assets.
