Resumo: | Considering François Dubed’s sociology of experience and Bernard Lahire’s methodology – interdependence network analysis – this article outlines three different profiles of students (interested and disciplined, less interested and undisciplined, and dropouts) from public high school, according to empirical research conducted by the author during her master’s degree research. Besides, it shows the reasons why students follow different paths and the meanings they attribute to school. Finally, it divides the different experiences, that they build, influenced by the background they bring from outside the school, reaching the following conclusions: school represents, above all, an important socialization sphere, in which drop-out students did not suceed in. students who are easily integrated to the school world and those who build life designs connected to school have a tendency to construct positive experiences. Those who show difficulties with the contents and do not have plans connected to school, in general, lower their self esteem and go through less positive experiences. |

The Construction of Different Experiences on Public High SchoolA Construção das Diferentes Experiências no Ensino Médio PúblicoJOVEM; ENSINO MÉDIO; SOCIOLOGIA DA EXPERIÊNCIA.YOUTH; HIGH SCHOOL; SOCIOLOGY OF EXPERIENCEConsidering François Dubed’s sociology of experience and Bernard Lahire’s methodology – interdependence network analysis – this article outlines three different profiles of students (interested and disciplined, less interested and undisciplined, and dropouts) from public high school, according to empirical research conducted by the author during her master’s degree research. Those who show difficulties with the contents and do not have plans connected to school, in general, lower their self esteem and go through less positive experiences.
