Resumo: This thesis aims to study the phenomenon of cyberbullying in the virtual electronic media. As a multidimensional phenomenon, cyberbullying is closely linked to the exponential growth of information and communication technology. The aggressive, intimidating, systematic and recurring behaviors typify this kind of bullying, which was previously restricted to physical, school and non-school spaces, and today transcends into cyberspace. The analyses of this thesis are based on the complex thinking, proposed by Edgar Morin. Therefore, the study was developed in a qualitative approach. By examining cyberbullying in the cyberspace, this research is also characterized by the use of the ethnographic methodology. The data and information obtained were analyzed in the light of three categories of Morin???s thought: interactivity, complexity and simplification. This interpretative procedure was carried out according to the assumptions of the content analysis defined by Bardin (2010), taking as a universe of research, discourses that involve the cyberbullying phenomenon published by three major Brazilian newspapers and by three virtual communities on Facebook. The study showed that, in the contents of the newspapers and virtual communities analyzed, by promoting a fragmented and sensationalist approach to cyberbullying, these information vehicles promote the construction of a reductionist and therefore partial view of this phenomenon, disregarding its biological, social, cultural and psychological dimensions, elements that make up the totality of this social event.

Les comportements agressifs, intimidateurs, syst??matiques et r??currents, caract??risent ce type de bullying qui, auparavant limit?? aux espaces pr??sentiels, scolaires et non scolaires, transcende aujourd'hui au cyberespace. Les analyses de cette th??se se reposent sur la pens??e complexe propos??e par Edgar Morin. Par cons??quent, l'??tude est d??velopp??e dans une approche qualitative. Lors de l'??tude du Cyberbullying, dans le cyberespace, cette recherche se caract??rise ??galement par l'utilisation de la m??thodologie ethnographique. Les donn??es et les informations obtenues ont ??t?? analys??es au regard de trois cat??gories de pens??e "moriniano": Interactivit??, Complexit?? et Simplification. Cette proc??dure interpr??tative a ??t?? r??alis??e en accord avec les pr??suppos??s de l'analyse de contenu d??finis par Bardin (2010), prenant en compte des discours impliquant le ph??nom??ne cyberbullying publi??s par trois grands journaux br??siliens et trois communaut??s virtuelles de Facebook. L'??tude a d??montr?? que, dans les contenus des journaux ou des communaut??s virtuelles analys??s, en promouvant une approche fragment??e et sensationnaliste du Cyberbullying, ces v??hicules d'information favorisent la construction d'une vision r??ductionniste et, donc partielle de ce ph??nom??ne, sans tenir compte des dimensions biologiques, sociales, culturelles et psychologiques, ??l??ments qui composent tout cet ??v??nement social.Esta tesis tiene como objeto de estudio al fen??meno de acoso virtual (cyberbullying), en los medios electr??nicos virtuales. Como fen??meno multidimensional el acoso cibern??tico (cyberbullying), est?? estrechamente vinculado con el crecimiento exponencial de las tecnolog??as de la informaci??n y de la comunicaci??n. El comportamiento agresivo y la intimidaci??n sistem??tica y recurrente, tipifican este tipo de agresi??n que anteriormente se encontraba restringida a los espacios del aula, escolares o no, que hoy trasciende al ciberespacio. Los an??lisis de esta tesis se fundamentan em el pensamiento complejo propuesto por Edgar Morin. Por tanto, el estudio se desarroll?? mediante un enfoque cualitativo. Al examinar el acoso cibern??tico en el ciberespacio, esta investigaci??n tambi??n se caracteriza por el uso de la metodolog??a etnogr??fica. Los datos e informaciones obtenidas fueron analizados sobre la ??ptica de tres categor??as del pensamento moriniano: la interactividad, la complejidad y la simplificaci??n. Ese procedimiento interpretativo se realizo de acuerdo con las condiciones definidas por Bardin (2010), tomando como universo de investigaci??n discursos que incluyen al fen??meno del cyberbullying publicados por tres grandes revistas brasile??as y por tres comunidades virtuales del Facebook. El estudio demostro que en los contenidos de las revistas y comunidades virtuales analizadas, al promover un abordaje fragmentado y sensacionalista del acoso cibern??tico esos veh??culos de informaci??n promueven la construcci??n de una visi??n reducionista y por tanto parcial de ese fen??meno, sin considerar sus dimensiones biol??gicas, sociales, culturales y psicol??gicas, elementos que componen la totalidade de ese evento social.Esta tese tem como objeto de estudo o fen??meno cyberbullying na m??dia eletr??nica virtual. Enquanto fen??meno multidimensional, o cyberbullying est?? intimamente ligado ao crescimento exponencial da tecnologia da informa????o e da comunica????o. Os comportamentos agressivos, intimidat??rios, sistem??ticos e recorrentes tipificam esse tipo de bullying, que, antes, restrito aos espa??os presenciais, escolares e n??o escolares, transcende, hoje, para o ciberespa??o. As an??lises desta tese fundamentam-se no pensamento complexo, proposto por Edgar Morin. Para tanto, o estudo desenvolveu-se numa abordagem qualitativa. Ao examinar o cyberbullying, no ciberespa??o, esta pesquisa caracteriza-se tamb??m pelo uso da metodologia etnogr??fica. Os dados e informa????es obtidos foram analisados ?? luz de tr??s categorias do pensamento moriniano: interatividade, complexidade e simplifica????o. Esse procedimento interpretativo realizou-se de acordo com os pressupostos da an??lise de conte??do definidos por Bardin (2010), tomando como universo de investiga????o discursos que envolvem o fen??meno cyberbullying publicados por tr??s grandes jornais brasileiros e por tr??s comunidades virtuais do Facebook.
