Desenvolvimento de uma sistem??tica para acompanhamento de alunos e egressos sob a perspectiva da gest??o de projetos

Resumo: CAPES is the Brazilian Federal Agency for the Support and Evaluation of Graduate Education which has been contributing to the development of graduate studies in Brazil, through its system of evaluation. Lately, CAPES signaled the importance of following the professional performance of the alumni as a way to measure the quality of courses. However, researchers suggest that there are many difficulties associated with alumni??s monitoring, including the complexity of compiling a large amount of isolated and outdated data, also the lack of interest of alumni in Higher Education Institutions (HEI) evaluative processes. These barriers justify the investment in innovative projects that enable HEI to collect data and effectively monitor their alumni. In the educational setting, as in all others, the growth and dynamic of market, the competition for resources and the difficulty of combining actions and outcomes constitute the starting point of an approach oriented to projects. In this sense, the Project Management shows itself as a prominent tool for increasing efficiency. The literature provides several models and standard approaches to Project Management, but the idea of factors applicable to all projects has been severely questioned, because projects differ from one another. In this scenario, the contingency approach is an alternative. Considering the particularities of management in HIE and the need to follow the trajectory of graduate students, it is necessary to properly plan and develop an educational project of this nature, in order to obtain the best result. Thus, this study aims to answer the following question: "How to apply the Project Management to develop a systematic for monitoring students and alumni in graduate studies programs? Their objective was to develop, from the contingency approach, the design for a Systematic for Monitoring Students and Alumni in graduate studies programs. This scientific research had a qualitative approach, exploratory and descriptive nature and it was conducted by the action research method, which consists of research and action to engage in a process of identifying problems, seeking solutions, in an interactive way. The main results show that the development of the Systematic may contribute to the following aspects: (1) allow the coordination of the course effectively evaluate their program's contribution to society; (2) support CAPES with new requirements assessment for students and alumni; (3) contribute to more fruitful interaction between students and alumni, regardless of the course period; (4) demonstrate that the Project Management can be used to develop educational projects, mainly from the contingency approach, because that methodology considers the influence of the specific environment through entire project planning and execution. It is a necessary adaptation when we are dealing with projects developed by universities, which are admittedly complex organizations.

Nos ??ltimos tempos, a CAPES sinalizou a import??ncia de acompanhar a atua????o profissional dos alunos egressos como forma de medir a qualidade dos cursos. No entanto, pesquisas indicam que diversas s??o as dificuldades associadas ao acompanhamento dos egressos, entre elas reside a complexidade em compilar uma grande quantidade de dados isolados e desatualizados e tamb??m a falta de interesse dos egressos nos processos avaliat??rios das IES (Institui????es de Ensino Superior). Esses entraves justificam o investimento em projetos inovadores que permitam ??s IES coletar dados e acompanhar efetivamente seu aluno egresso. No cen??rio educacional, como em todos os outros, o crescimento e a din??mica do mercado, a disputa por recursos e a dificuldade em conjugar a????es e resultados constituem-se em um ponto de partida para uma abordagem orientada a projetos e neste sentido, a Gest??o de Projetos tem se constitu??do como uma proeminente ferramenta de aumento da efici??ncia. A literatura fornece diversos modelos e abordagens padr??o para a Gest??o de Projetos, por??m, a ideia de fatores aplic??veis a todos os projetos tem sido severamente questionada, pois os projetos diferem entre si. Neste cen??rio, a abordagem contingencial surge como uma alternativa. Considerando as particularidades concernentes ?? gest??o de IES e a necessidade de acompanhar a trajet??ria do aluno egresso de programas de p??s-gradua????o stricto sensu, ?? necess??rio planejar e desenvolver adequadamente um projeto educacional deste teor, com vistas ?? obten????o do melhor resultado. Desta forma, este estudo buscou responder a seguinte indaga????o: Como aplicar a Gest??o de Projetos no desenvolvimento de uma sistem??tica para acompanhamento de alunos e egressos em programas de p??s-gradua????o stricto sensu? Seu objetivo foi desenvolver, a partir da abordagem contingencial, o projeto Sistem??tica para Acompanhamento de Alunos e Egressos em programas de p??s-gradua????o stricto sensu. A pesquisa realizada teve a abordagem qualitativa, natureza explorat??ria descritiva e foi conduzida a partir do m??todo da pesquisa-a????o, que consiste em acoplar pesquisa e a????o em um processo de identifica????o de problemas e busca de solu????es de maneira interativa. Os principais resultados apontam que o desenvolvimento da Sistem??tica pode contribuir nos seguintes aspectos: (1) possibilitar ?? coordena????o do curso avaliar efetivamente qual a contribui????o do programa para a sociedade; (2) subsidiar a CAPES com novos quesitos de avalia????o para os alunos e egressos; (3) contribuir para a intera????o mais prof??cua entre alunos e egressos, independente do per??odo de realiza????o do curso; (4) demonstrar que a Gest??o de Projetos pode ser utilizada para o desenvolvimento de projetos educacionais especialmente sob a perspectiva da abordagem contingencial, pois esta considera a influ??ncia das especificidades do ambiente e do projeto durante todo o seu planejamento e execu????o, uma adapta????o necess??ria quando tratamos de projetos cunhados por universidades, que s??o reconhecidamente organiza????es complexas.Made available in DSpace on 2015-04-07T21:08:52Z (GMT).
