Challenges and urban mobility policies in the Federal District: a contemporary analysis of transportation modes

This article analyzes the integration of transport modes in the Federal District, with an emphasis on their contribution to the creation of sustainable cities and communities. The investigation was carried out by means of qualitative bibliographical research, which included research into books, publications on the internet and other electronic media, allowing a comprehensive understanding of the current state of practice and theory related to the topic. The survey suggests that the transportation system is directly linked to the quality of the available infrastructure and the integration between the different systems, highlighting its importance for local economic development. In addition, the predominance of road transport and the need to transition to more sustainable modes, such as public transport and active mobility, were highlighted as relevant factors for reducing the carbon footprint and promoting a healthy urban environment. It is therefore recommended that future research explore the implementation of public policies that encourage integration between the different modes, in order to promote sustainability and efficiency in the use of resources.
