Resumo: This text seeks to indicate potentialities present in the field of indigenous literature in Brazil and Mexico as an intercultural policy for all – indigenous and non-indigenous. Through activities developed within the framework of the Intercultural Education Course at the Takinahaky Center for Higher Indigenous Training at the Federal University of Goiás, reading indigenous writings and reflections on the literature produced and an analysis of intercultural policies in both countries, we link literary production , community-based, with the potential of educational policies that deal with difference and seek to train people capable of a balanced, just and peaceful coexistence.
