Resumo: Discusses some of the aspects related to the research concepts and their forms of quantitative, qualitative, and mixed approach, presenting the socio-poeticsand the sensitive creative approach, as methodological alternatives to be used in the Information Science and Library studies. It also points to the possible causes of the difficulties confronted by academics in the research practice, finalizing with some reflections concerning teaching and learning how to research.
