OCCUPYING THE UNIVERSITY: AFFIRMATIVE EXPERIENCES AND POLITICAL TRANSFORMATIONS

Resumo: This article aims to discuss perspectives and impasses brought by the entry of black students into public universities, as a result of affirmative action policies. We start from experiences gathered in three fundamental spaces for the effectiveness of quota policy: the heteroindentification committee at UFES; countercolonial pedagogical experiences, open to welcoming the trajectories of peripheral students and reflecting on the political, historical and psychosocial effects of racism, discussed in the discipline of Introduction to Psychology; and the extension practices of the collective Psychoanalytic Occupation, which held talks at UFES about what it is like to be a black student at the university. We highlight the importance of including, in the policies of permanence, in addition to material conditions, symbolic, aesthetic, political and epistemological transformations of the university space as a way of overcoming institutional racism and the production of care and life.

Partimos de experiencias recogidas en tres espacios fundamentales para la efectividad de la política de cuotas: el comité de heteroindentificación de la UFES; experiencias pedagógicas contracoloniales, abiertas a acoger las trayectorias de los estudiantes periféricos y reflexionar sobre los efectos políticos, históricos y psicosociales del racismo, propuestas en la disciplina de Introducción a la Psicología; y las prácticas de extensión del colectivo Ocupación Psicoanalítica, que realizó charlas en la UFES sobre lo que es ser un estudiante negro en la universidad. Destacamos la importancia de incluir, en las políticas de permanencia, además de las condiciones materiales, transformaciones simbólicas, estéticas, políticas y epistemológicas del espacio universitario como forma de superar el racismo institucional y de producción de cuidados y vida.Este artigo se propõe a debater perspectivas e impasses trazidos pela entrada de estudantes negros na universidade pública, como resultado de políticas de ação afirmativa. Partimos de experiências recolhidas em três espaços fundamentais para a efetividade da política de cotas: a comissão de heteroindentificação na UFES; experiências pedagógicas contracoloniais, abertas ao acolhimento das trajetórias de estudantes periféricos e à reflexão sobre os efeitos políticos, históricos e psicossociais do racismo, propostas na disciplina de Introdução à Psicologia; e as práticas de extensão do coletivo Ocupação psicanalítica, que realizou conversações na UFES sobre o que é ser um estudante negro na universidade.
