Analysis of the academic permanence of students of the science course of the nature of the Uruguayana campus

Resumo: The present study is an investigation about the permanence of students, participants by affirmative actions in the course of Nature Sciences of the Campus Uruguaiana of Unipampa. The purpose of this study was to contribute to a better understanding of the academic course of students who entered the system of quotas for income below a minimum wage and a half. The data were collected from the academic records platforms of the institution and analyzed quantitatively using basic elements of mathematics by percentage. The analysis of the results showed a high number of students evading between the ages of two and thirteen and two thousand and seventeen, reaching more than forty-nine percent, of the quota holders by income. The data demonstrate that an effective policy for access to higher education is not enough, and that a public policy aimed at permanence is also necessary, and should be constantly discussed and new strategies established in order to minimize the phenomenon of avoidance.

El trabajo tuvo como finalidad contribuir a una mejor comprensión del recorrido académico de los estudiantes que ingresaron por el sistema de cuotas para ingresos abajo de un salario mínimo y medio. Los datos fueron colectados a partir de las plataformas de registros académicos de la institución y su análisis se dio de forma cuantitativa, usando elementos básicos de la matemática a través de porcentaje. Los análisis de los resultados evidenciaron un elevado número de estudiantes evadidos entre los años de dos mil trece y dos mil diecisiete, llegando a más del cuarenta y nueve por ciento, de los cotistas por renta. Los datos demuestran que no basta una política eficaz para el acceso a la educación superior, y que una política pública orientada a la permanencia también es necesaria, y deben ser permanentemente discutidas y nuevas estrategias establecidas, a fin de minimizar el fenómeno de la evasión.O presente estudo trata-se de uma investigação sobre a permanência de estudantes, ingressantes por ações afirmativas no curso de Ciências da Natureza do Campus Uruguaiana da Unipampa. O trabalho teve como finalidade, contribuir para um melhor entendimento do percurso acadêmico de estudantes que ingressaram pelo sistema de cotas para renda abaixo de um salário mínimo e meio. Os dados foram coletados a partir das plataformas de registros acadêmicos da instituição e a sua análise se deu de forma quantitativa, usando elementos básicos da matemática através de percentual. As análises dos resultados evidenciaram um elevado número de estudantes evadidos entre os anos de dois mil e treze e dois mil e dezessete, chegando a mais de quarenta e nove por cento, dos cotistas por renda.
