Resumo: Daniel Link, in the essay “Como se lê”, which introduces the book with the same name, proposes that reading is the "[...] correlation of two series of meaning [...]", one that comes from the reader and one that comes from the text. We will begin with Link's proposition to think about reading and how it puts at stake dominant positions in relation to text, reader, time, value, and meaning.  Based on Link's definition of reading, we understand a way of conceiving reading that considers the text and the reader as being fundamental. In this perspective, time is the present of the reading correlation. Likewise, the value is in the relationship between text and reader, in other words, in each act of reading. In face of this, the meanings are born in the reading relation and this effect, according to the authors with whom we interact, can be called redenomination, metaphor, and image. We emphasize how these issues are important to think about the literary and the approach among texts and readers.
