A ex-cêntrica negritude do Pequeno Príncipe Preto (2020): considerações sobre a influência pós-moderna em narrativas descentralizadas

It is not new that people belonging to minority groups have found ways to resist against situations of oppression and their marginalized condition. In Brazil, since the slavery period, black people have experienced dehumanizing situations and, consequently, have been relegated to the margins of society. Postmodernism, in the mid-twentieth century, among its plastic elaborations in all artistic manifestations, provided a space for the voice of ex-centric – decentralized subjects. In the novel O Pequeno Príncipe Preto (2020), by the Brazilian writer Rodrigo França, we see a clear postmodern manifestation because it is a parody that maintains intertextual relationships with the history of African peoples who were subjected to slavery. In view of this, starting from Linda Hutcheon's considerations about postmodernism in literature, the present study will analyze the postmodern ex-centricity of the black prince, showing how the character recovers historical discourses and reinterprets them, questioning them. them without denying them. With regard to the desired objectives, the present study seeks to show how a contemporary children's narrative, whose author comes from minority groups, reverberates the postmodern discourse at thematic and formal levels.
