Resumo: This article examines the notions of excess and transgression in the discourses of cyberculture. The hypothesis defended is that the libertarian and revolutionary rhetoric of cyberutopianisms conceals, in reality, an essentially conservative worldview and marked by the myths of the progressive modernization.
