Resumo: This paper works on changes in the Brazilian Cinema during the first decade of the 21st Century, especially related on the released and performance of the feature film in the theatrical market. The analysis is part of the results from the research Communication, Technology and market. Assymetrie, performance and crisis in the contemporary Brazilian Cinema and works with a selection of the the best box office performance on features betweenthe years from 2000 to 2009.

El análisis es el resultado del proyecto de investigación Comunicación, tecnología y mercado. Las asimetrías, el desempeño y la crisis del cine brasileño contemporáneo, a partir del recorte del conjunto de películas que registraron el mejor desempeño de público, entre los años 2000 a 2009.Este artigo trata das transformações verificadas no cinema brasileiro durante a primeira década do Século 21, em especial com relação ao setor de distribuição e ao desempenho do filme de longa-metragem no mercado de salas de exibição. A análise é resultado do projeto de pesquisa Comunicação, tecnologia e mercado.
