Resumo: Within a broader research project focused on the study of black musical scenes developed in the current Brazilian urban context, this article results from observations developed about the Batekoo party, held in the city of São Paulo. Based on an account of ethnographic inspiration, the text presented seeks to discuss the meanings, aesthetics and values put into circulation from this party, in order to broaden the discussions on the reconfigurations of racial identities, observing the consumption of popular music, the configuration of new styles and gender performatizations as reflective strategies for negotiating subjectivities and tensioning power relations. In this way, we seek to present new theoretical paths for the understanding of racial dynamics, recognizing in the mediations of black youth cultural productions different dramatizations of languages and new aesthetic and identity projects performed in the party space that give rise to different aesthetic, communicative and political exercises in contemporary city.

A partir de un relato de inspiración etnográfica, el texto presentado busca discutir los significados, estéticas y valores puestos en circulación desde esta fiesta, con el fin de ampliar las discusiones sobre las reconfiguraciones de las identidades raciales observando el consumo de música popular, la configuración de nuevos estilos y performances de género como estrategias reflexivas para negociar subjetividades y tensionar relaciones de poder. De esta forma, buscamos presentar nuevos caminos teóricos para la comprensión de las dinámicas raciales, reconociendo en las mediaciones de las producciones culturales de la juventud negra diferentes dramatizaciones de lenguajes y nuevos proyectos estéticos e identitarios realizados en el espacio de la fiesta que dan lugar a diferentes ejercicios estéticos, comunicativos y políticos en la ciudad contemporánea. Dentro de um projeto de pesquisa mais amplo voltado para o estudo sobre cenas musicais negras desenvolvidas no atual contexto urbano brasileiro, este artigo resulta de observações desenvolvidas a respeito da festa Batekoo, realizada na cidade de São Paulo. A partir de um relato de inspiração etnográfica, o texto apresentado busca discutir os sentidos, estéticas e valores postos em circulação a partir dessa festa, a fim de ampliar as discussões sobre as reconfigurações das identidades raciais observando o consumo da música popular, a configuração de novos estilos e as performatizações de gênero como estratégias reflexivas para a negociação de subjetividades e tensionamento das relações de poder.
