Resumo: The article is about the sustainability of the governmental relationships with citizens through planned communication tools and strategies aimed, implemented and evaluated to strengthen the institutional image. From the reports of practices developed by Project Communication and Attendance to Citizen of City of Canoas – PROCAC/ Canoas -, we can highlight the importance of communication processes in the management of public relations and the commitment to the collective interest
