Communication and education: some Sociological considerations

Resumo: The links between education and communication are many. I propose to present three of them taken from the French sociological literature. The communication appears as a guest of the sociology of education: a) when the sociology of education studies educational communication between teacher and students and, more broadly, when considering the interactions between different actors in the classroom, b) when studying the impact on school organization of influence of mass media in contemporary society and explores the role in the education of new information technologies and communication; c) finally, when studying school violence in which television is often held responsible, than depending on their emotional charge, the media can not cope.

Propongo presentar tres de ellos extraídos de la literatura sociológica francesa. La comunicación aparece como invitada de la sociología de la educación: a) cuando la sociología de la educación estudia la comunicación pedagógica entre el profesor y sus alumnos y, de modo más amplio, cuando examina las interacciones entre los diversos actores en el aula; b) cuando estudia las consecuencias en la organización escolar de la fuerte influencia de los medios en la sociedad contemporánea y aborda el papel en la educación de las nuevas tecnologías de la información y la comunicación; c) en fin, cuando estudia la violencia escolar por la que la televisión es a menudo considerada responsable, de lo que, en función de su carga emocional, los medios no pueden dar cuenta.Os vínculos entre educação e comunicação são muitos. Proponho apresentar três deles extraídos da literatura sociológica francesa.
