The mathematics in the evaluations of the normalists of the Normal School Caetano de Campos (decade of 1940)

Resumo: The article analyzes the mathematics present in a teaching plan as the evaluation of the classes of the Curso Normal of the School of Caetano de Campos, in the city of São Paulo, during a decade of 1940. In the last year of teacher training and presented Cálculo and Geometria as the subjects of a course that teach the main course of São Paulo.Such assessments are referred to as a “plano globalizado,” which involve different subjects from one theme. Theschool in question is considered a model of the Capital of São Paulo, where the Instituto de Educação de São Paulo was installed in the 1930s. The period was marked by the New School movement, having as one of its presuppositions the method of Dewey.

La escuela en cuestión es considerada modelo de la Capital de São Paulo, lugar donde se instaló el Instituto de Educação de São Paulo, en la década de 1930. El período fue marcado por el movimiento Escuela Nueva, teniendo como uno de sus presupuestos el método de Dewey.O artigo analisa a matemática presente em planos de ensino elaborados como avaliações das normalistas do Curso Normal da Escola Caetano de Campos, na cidade de São Paulo, durante a década de 1940. As avaliações foram produzidas na disciplina de Metodologia e Prática do Ensino Primário, no último ano da formação docente e apresentam Cálculo e Geometria como matérias a serem ensinadas no curso primário paulista. Tais avaliações são designadas como “plano globalizado”, que envolvem diferentes matérias a partir de um tema. A escola em questão é considerada como modelo da capital de São Paulo, local onde se instalou o Instituto de Educação de São Paulo, na década de 1930.
