Childhood education and curriculum: A glance over the academic production

Resumo: This paper analyzes the national academic production relative to the Childhood Education Curriculum theme, acknowledged as controversial since its emergence on the area, the curriculum establishes as central to the consolidation of Childhood Education as an initial stage for Elementary Education, as well as to the construction of proposals and institutional and practices of quality, that respect child’s specificities. This centrality in materialized in oficial curricular documents. Amidst the tensions marking discussions on the theme, what say the the researches centering on it? Based on the Digital Library for Theses and Dissertations - BDTD, the study searched investigations focusing the curriculum at/of Childhood Education, between 2009 and 2019. 45 papers were identified, both dissertations and theses, theming curriculum in a multiplicity of focuses and perspectives: public politics, pedagogical practices, elaboration and development processes, foundations, human diversity, specificities and child rights. The diversity of production corroborates the claim that curriculum is fundamental to the education of children from zero to five years of age, implying more studies and comprehension of politics, proposals and pedagogical practices.

Esta centralidad se materializa en el establecimiento de documentos oficiales en las últimas décadas En medio de las tensiones que marcan las discusiones sobre el tema, ¿qué dicen las investigaciones que lo toman como un objeto? Tomando como fuente la Biblioteca Digital de Tesis y Disertaciones - BDTD, el estudio buscó investigaciones que se centren en el currículum en la educación infntil entre 2009 y 2019. Identificamos 45 obras, disertaciones y tesis, que tematizan el currículum en una multiplicidad de enfoques y perspectivas: políticas públicas, prácticas pedagógicas, procesos de elaboración y desarrollo, fundamentos, diversidad humana, especificidades y derechos del niño. La diversidad de la producción resulta fructífera al afirmar que el currículo es un tema fundamental para la educación de niños de cero a cinco años que implica más estudios y una mayor comprensión de las políticas, las propuestas curriculares y las prácticas pedagógicas.O artigo analisa produção acadêmica nacional relativa à temática do currículo na Educação Infantil, tradicionalmente reconhecida como controversa na área e, ao mesmo tempo, central à consolidação da Educação Infantil enquanto etapa inicial da Educação Básica e à construção de propostas e práticas institucionais de qualidade para a infância. Essa centralidade materializa-se na instituição de documentos curriculares oficiais nas últimas décadas. Em meio às tensões que marcam as discussões sobre o tema, o que dizem as pesquisas que o tomam como objeto? Tomando como fonte a Biblioteca Digital de Teses e Dissertações - BDTD, o estudo buscou investigações que focalizam o currículo na/da Educação Infantil, entre 2009 e 2019. Foram identificados 45 trabalhos – dissertações e teses – com uma multiplicidade de focos e perspectivas: políticas públicas, práticas pedagógicas, processos de elaboração e desenvolvimento, fundamentos, diversidade humana, especificidades e direitos infantis.
