Knowledge of university teaching: A study with professors of History teaching

Resumo: This paper, the result of investigations carried out by a group of researchers, aimed to understand the constitution of knowledge that is mobilized in the teaching practices of professors working in the “History and Teaching” area of the History degree course, offered by a Public Higher Education Institution (IES) in Ceará. For this, aspects of the life trajectory, which are beyond his academic and professional experience, were taken into consideration. In view of privileging the qualitative approach, we chose the Case Study as an option of a methodological path, and we resort to bibliographical and documentary research and semi-structured interviews. The results, analyzed from the Thematic Content Analysis, revealed that the knowledge mobilized in the teaching practices of the investigated professors contemplate knowledge of training, experience, pedagogical action, and its constitution corroborates the personalized character of this knowledge that research in the area has been showing.

Con este fin, se tomaron en cuenta aspectos de la trayectoria de vida, que van más allá de su experiencia académica y profesional. En vista de privilegiar el enfoque cualitativo, elegimos el Estudio de Caso como opción de un camino metodológico y, recurrimos a la investigación bibliográfica, documental y entrevistas semiestructuradas. Los resultados, analizados a partir del Análisis de Contenido Temático, revelaron que los conocimientos movilizados en las prácticas docentes de los docentes investigados contemplan conocimientos de formación, experiencia, acción pedagógica y su constitución corrobora el carácter personalizado de este conocimiento que las investigaciones en el área vienen mostrando. Esta escrita, resultado de investigações realizadas por um grupo de pesquisadores, objetivou compreender a constituição dos saberes que são mobilizados nas práticas de ensino de professores atuantes na área de “história e ensino” do Curso de Licenciatura em História, ofertado por uma instituição de ensino superior (IES) pública cearense. Para tanto, levou-se em consideração aspectos da trajetória de vida, que estão para além de sua experiência acadêmica e profissional. Em face de privilegiar a abordagem qualitativa, escolhemos o Estudo de Caso como opção de caminho metodológico e, recorremos à pesquisa bibliográfica e documental, e, entrevistas semiestruturadas.
