Career assessments: the proficiency exam in Accounting and the contents with the lowest rates of correct answers

Resumo: | The sufficiency exam is a test applied to bachelor’s in accounting. The research carried out mapped the failure rates of graduates during the period from 2018 to 2021, totaling eight editions, with the objective of identifying the content of the exam, comparing it with the curriculum required for approval. For data analysis, the content analysis methodology was applied. In general, considering the aforementioned editions of the sufficiency exam, it was observed that the best results reached 48% of those present and the worst results between 4% and 8%. It was identified that the contents that predominate in 66% of the 50 questions presented are divided into 4 themes. The research can contribute to the elaboration of educational policies and projects, in addition to enabling reflection by institutions and teachers. |

La investigación realizada mapeó las tasas de reprobación de los egresados durante el período de 2018 a 2021, totalizando ocho ediciones, con el objetivo de identificar el contenido del examen, comparándolo con el currículo requerido para su aprobación. Para el análisis de los datos se aplicó la metodología de análisis de contenido. En general, considerando las ediciones del examen de suficiencia antes mencionadas, se observó que los mejores resultados alcanzaron al 48% de los presentes y los peores entre el 4% y el 8%. Se identificó que los contenidos que predominan en el 66% de las 50 preguntas presentadas se dividen en 4 temas. La investigación puede contribuir a la elaboración de políticas y proyectos educativos, además de posibilitar la reflexión de instituciones y docentes.O exame de suficiência é um teste aplicado aos bacharéis em Contabilidade. A pesquisa realizada mapeou os índices de reprovação dos egressos durante o período de 2018 a 2021, totalizando oito edições, com o objetivo de identificar o conteúdo do exame, comparando-o com o currículo exigido para aprovação. Para análise dos dados foi aplicada a metodologia de análise de conteúdo. De forma geral, considerando as referidas edições do exame de suficiência, observou-se que os melhores resultados atingiram 48% dos presentes e os piores resultados entre 4% e 8%. Identificou-se que os conteúdos que predominam em 66% das 50 questões apresentadas estão divididos em 4 temas.
