Análise ético-legal sobre a vivissecção animal

Resumo: The present work has as scope to make a legal and ethical analysis on vivisection in our legal system. The use of animals for human satisfaction brings us several questions. Will they really be necessary to acquire knowledge (through experiments)? Do we need their lives to test our cosmetics? Can we use them as disposable objects to repeat, "ad infinitum", certain procedures? The act of vivisect will be analysed in its various purposes, such as in scientific experimentation, industrial and educational. In the latter approach, will be shown that it is possible to student to learn without spilling a single drop of blood. From the ethical perspective, we will discuss the philosophical currents and the modern thought on the subject, analysing the reasons that lead men to believe he is the only species on this planet that deserves consideration. And, within our legislation, we will analyse whether vivisection in Brazil is viable or not

O uso de animais para a satisfação humana nos traz diversas indagações. Serão mesmos necessários para adquirir conhecimento (através de experimentos)? Necessitamos de suas vidas para testar nossos cosméticos? Podemos “coisificá-los” e usá-los como objetos descartáveis para repetir, “ad infinitum”, determinados procedimentos? O ato de vivisseccionar será analisado em suas diversas finalidades, tais como na experimentação científica, industrial e educacional. Nesta última abordagem, a educacional, mostraremos que é possível o aprendizado dos alunos, sem o derramamento de uma única gota de sangue. Sob o prisma ético, abordaremos as correntes filosóficas e o pensamento moderno vigente sobre o tema, analisando quais os motivos que levam o homem a acreditar que ele faz parte da única espécie que merece consideração nesse planeta.
