Resumo: This research aims to identify factors common to young people who, after fulfilling the socio-educational institutionalization measure, return to the Casa Foundation Service Centers to replicate the same previously imposed measure. Thus, generating the phenomenon called multiple passages, or even commonly referred to as recidivism. The study aims to identify in the context of the concreteness of the lives of these young people which conditions or situations contributed to the return by analyzing the information produced and contained in the records of the respective young people, when admitted to the Casa Foundation for the second or third time

Essa reiteração é denominada institucionalmente como múltiplas passagens, ou, ainda, reincidência. As ocorrências geradoras dessa reiteração deveriam ser parte do processo da Medida Socioeducativa (MSE) a que o jovem é submetido, por ser apontado como autor de ato infracional de gravidade. Com o objetivo de aprofundar a abordagem de fatores, comuns entre os jovens, que os levam a reiteradas internações, apresenta-se o estudo de caso de 20 jovens que passaram por uma dada unidade da Fundação Casa, vinculada à Secretaria de Justiça e Cidadania do Governo do Estado de São Paulo. O estudo vale-se do registro em prontuários desses 20 jovens. Procura-se identificar, na tessitura da concretude das vidas desses jovens, quais condições ou situações contribuíram para a reiteração da vivência da medida de internação.
