This work seeks to clarify the importance of the school manager to implement effective educational processes that lead to a new relationship of man with his peers and the environment. The path followed involved the study of literature and legislation on the subject, field research gathering feedback from managers using a questionnaire, ending with a proposal for intervention. This built up a consulting guided the following assumptions: • The school, to multiply information, knowledge and expertise, should through a continuing participatory learning process, encouraging and educating the entire school community to build a critical awareness of the environmental problems of contemporary society. • Education with a view to environmental sustainability should promote the development of knowledge, attitudes and skills necessary for the preservation and improvement of environmental quality, and that learning is more effective if it is articulated to the situations experienced in daily life by educating the community where schools are located. • The socio-environmental development as desired and discussed in all areas of knowledge, not only to appropriate resources and the environment, but also the culture, history and society is only possible with the participation, organization, education and strengthening people, because it is focused on production, but in humans
