Resumo: Immigration is one of the main global concerns. There are many reasons why thousands of people leave their homeland: political, economic or natural disasters. The movement of people around the world in search of better living conditions translates into superlative numbers. For both the places of destination and their inhabitants, as well as for those who arrive, the encounter carries a tension that often results in conflicts, prejudices and differences that are hard to work out, as well as violence – which makes immigration an issue to be faced by everyone. This study aims to articulate three major contemporary themes: immigration, adolescence and group work, in order to identify and analyze aspects of the experience of immigration and its particularities in articulation with the experiences of adolescence; and possibilities and challenges of group work as an intervention device in these experiences. We carried out a theoretical journey on adolescence, immigration and fieldwork with migrant adolescents. We considered adolescence as an important analyzer to understand what it means to be a migrant in such polarized times, when the responsible for the various social ills falls on the one who represents the different, the stranger to the local population. As we listened to what young migrants had to say, we got characteristic issues of adolescence along with characteristic elements of migrant life. The conduction of the group and the subsequent analysis of its production were guided by references supported by psychoanalysis on adolescence, by Pichon-Rivière on groups, by the ethical-political position of the group coordinator, and by Deleuze and Guattari’s conceptualization of territorialization and deterritorialization, composing analytical guidelines that allowed us to conduct the group and produce results towards the intended understanding. We were able to follow aspects of life between two cultures and ways of dealing with the inheritance received from parents, articulating to the numerous information, habits and customs of the local culture. Issues such as prejudice, isolation and difficulties in integrating with peers in the school space emerged when we set out to listen to what the adolescents had to say. Future projects and the desire for a less precarious life also emerged, as well as the desire to inhabit the place where they grew up, live and with which they identify, which causes a tension in the relationship with their parents, who often wish to return to their country of origin. The conclusion of the work is affirmed in the richness produced when differences are aggregated with mutual respect; a lesson learned from the experience with the group of adolescents and that points to a possible path for the future of us all

The conclusion of the work is affirmed in the richness produced when differences are aggregated with mutual respect; a lesson learned from the experience with the group of adolescents and that points to a possible path for the future of us allO tema da imigração ocupa um dos lugares centrais como preocupação em nível mundial.
