The purpose of this work is to understand the importance of encouraging the entry of new companies into the Brazilian stock market, as well as to analyze the relevant characteristics and procedures necessary for companies to go public in Brazil. The proposal is to approach the subject from a perspective that considers the current challenge that Brazilian companies face when trying to enter the capital market. This obstacle mainly arises due to the complexity of the initial public offering (IPO) process and the potential IPO, the rules of which have been recently changed by the Brazilian Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM). Therefore, the first aspect to be analyzed in this work is the understanding of how the process of going public takes place. It will also be important to identify the requirements that companies must meet to facilitate their entry into the stock market. Given the current Brazilian legislation and regulation, it is not the aim of this work to find a complete solution to solve all the difficulties faced by companies when going public. Instead, it aims to simplify the understanding of this process by detailing the applicable requirements and the most relevant aspects of the regulation applicable to the Brazilian stock market
