Resumo: The musical language is an important form of knowledge for children, justifying their presence in the context of early childhood education. The main objective of this work was to scale as the use of musical language in early childhood education plays in the process of socialization of the child and develop affective and cognitive aspects, contributing to their integral formation. Studies and surveys show that the music, whether it be classified as intelligence, language or area of knowledge, has a relevant role in the formation of the child. The music must be understood as an ongoing process of construction which involves perceiving, feeling, experiencing, imitate, create and reflect. The musical language, in addition to placing your child in touch with the world and its culture, allows her to work and express sensations, feelings and thoughts, develop hypotheses, leading to reflection on what it is about. Bring the music to the school environment requires a teacher's stance with respect to music availability and willingness to listen and observe how children express themselves musically in every stage of its development. O principal objetivo deste trabalho foi dimensionar como a utilização da linguagem musical na educação infantil atua no processo de socialização da criança e desenvolve os aspectos afetivos e cognitivos, contribuindo para a sua formação integral. Estudos e pesquisas demonstram que a música, seja ela classificada como inteligência, linguagem ou área de conhecimento, tem um papel relevante na formação da criança. A música deve ser entendida como um processo contínuo de construção que envolve perceber, sentir, experimentar, imitar, criar e refletir. A linguagem musical, além de colocar a criança em contato com o mundo e sua cultura, permite que ela trabalhe e expresse sensações, sentimentos e pensamentos, elabore hipóteses, levando à reflexão sobre aquilo que a cerca. Trazer a música para o ambiente escolar exige do professor uma postura de disponibilidade com relação à música e disposição para ouvir e observar o modo como as crianças se expressam musicalmente em cada fase do seu desenvolvimento.
