Resumo: The present study aims to evaluate comparatively the quality of life in active, insufficiently active seniors. The study included 60 older adults. To analyze the quality of life we used the SF-36 instrument, which showed differences between groups in all fields, and the group of active seniors showed better values. Thus, physical activity proves efficient in promoting healthy aging, maintaining the health and quality of life.

Participaram do estudo 60 idosos. Para analisar a qualidade de vida utilizou-se o instrumento SF-36, o qual mostrou diferença entre os grupos em todos os domínios, sendo que o grupo de idosos ativos mostrou melhores valores.
